The square tiles easily attach to the wall, and are just as easily removed to suit any color, mood or event. The genius in the design is its simplicity, flexibility, and ease of use, working well for temporary needs like events or meetings, freshening up rooms in your house, and keeping kids busy for hours at a time. Just about any material can be affixed to the front of the tile—such as aluminum, wood or plastic, making the incredibly simple design applicable to a wide scope of uses.

Timeless style - by Junghans Watches

................................................................................................................................................................
Max Bill Chronoscope Watch by Junghans Watches

This truly is a very special watch. The Max Bill Chronoscope Watch was designed by Max Bill for Junghans in the 1960’s. This is an authentic edition, made by the original manufacturer Junghans. The simplicity and proportionality of the the amazing Chronoscope design reflects the “Bauhaus” design sensibilitity of Max Bill, as well as the precision watchmaking of Junghans.

Rafael Lozano-Hemmer Recorders - Exhibition @Manchester Art Gallery

.......................................................................................................................................................
A great mix of interactive art and technology, Rafeal Lozano-Hemmer users state
of the art HD & surveillance technology to create a series of interactive installations. Some of the pieces highlight the sense that you are always being watched & recorded, all the artworks require public participation or exist to gather information. This is a must see. It gets a big "Selfmade" thumbs up.

Papergirl Exhibition - Soup Kitchen Manchester

................................................................................................................................................
Selfmadeheroes made a flying visit to Soup kitchen in the Northern Quarter to check out the Papergirl Exhibition, This is the first time I have been to this venue and it was not what I expected. Soup Kitchen is a eatery, then gallery with very little wall space, but a clever (washing line type) hanging system allows you to view the work whilst you snack, ( I had a nice Jacket Potato with beans). Some of the work have a student project feel, however some pieces are really well crafted and very good. I really liked the PPP "Preston is my Pairs" screen print unfortunately the way the prints are hung you can not see who the artists are, this may be intentional. I took some pics, feel free to take a look...

One69a Screen Printers @Islington Mill

.........................................................................................................................................................
Selfmadeheroes have been searching high and low for a good screen printers.... and now the search is over. One69a at Islington Mill have one of Manchesters most unique studio spaces, a quick tour with owner Mark Jermyn opened my eyes to a diverse mix of gallery spaces, court yard gardens, Design studios and gig venues, I have to say I was very impressed. Mark then took me to his print studio which at first glance could be described as chaotic, however this just added to the atmosphere and creativity. After some quick introductions I found myself talking about possible projects and working with one69a straight away. These guys have a genuine love for everything design, illustration and especially print. The old screens & prints adorn the walls and stacks of screens make for a brilliant space, there is a great feel to the Mill and you get a sense of people just doing what they love. Experimentation is top of the list at 0ne69a and this is reflected in their work. I will be creating some limited edition posters with them in the near future and I hope to be working more with these guys in the up coming months.
"Top Guys, Top Studio, Top Work!"

As seen by selfmade - Jasper Goodall

......................................................................................
Selfmadeheroes have always been massive fans of Birmingham Born
illustrator Jasper Goodall. He has created some of the sexist, symbolic and erotic
images of the last 5 years. The new series of images from Jasper use dreamy skies,
oily black figures, and mirrors in the sand to create a sexual and distinctly 80s feel.
I remember seeing Jasper Goodall early work whilst studying at university & I instantly fell for his mono tone vector style and he continues to impressed us with his unique approach and the way he does not follow trends but starts them.
